By phone

Customer phones are available for contacting council services at the reception area of Macclesfield Town Hall and Delamere House.

We publish phone numbers on our web pages. We answer the phones 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Do use our online forms if you’re able to so we can spend time with those who are unable to use the forms.

For services who have not put their contact details on their web pages or to speak to a named member of staff you can call the Cheshire East Information Line - 0300 123 5500.
To call from abroad dial +44 (or 0 44) 1270 306482

If you are hearing or speech impaired, you can use: RELAY UK 18001 then 0808 808 0123

We may record calls for quality, training and auditing purposes, and to help resolve complaints.  We keep all recordings for 12 months.

We occasionally carry out live monitoring of calls, where we listen to calls in real time. We do this to help resolve complaints and for quality, training and auditing purposes.

We may contact you for feedback about how we responded to your enquiries. Our customer satisfaction survey is sent out via email with a link to the survey. You can opt out of our customer satisfaction survey using the unsubscribe link provided in the email.

0300 telephone numbers are designated for use only by public bodies and non-profit organisations. Calls to 0300 numbers cost no more than a national rate call to an 01 or 02 number and count towards any inclusive minutes in the same way as 01 and 02 calls. These rules apply to calls from any type of phone including mobile, BT, other fixed line or payphone.
