Parish Council Election May 2011

There are 111 civil parish councils in Cheshire East.   Some parish councils are split into wards.

All parish council seats were be open for election, however where the number of seats exceeded the number of people standing for election to the parish council, the existing parish council could choose to appoint the candidates without an election.

An election was held if the number of candidates was greater than the number of seats on the council.

The election was held at the same time as the election for councillors for Cheshire East Council.

Candidates for parish Council seats were listed in the document with the Parish Council name.

The votes for the Parish council elections were counted on Saturday 7 of May 2011 and the results posted later that day.
