Help with online benefits forms

You can get advice and information about claiming benefits from the organisations listed on our Live Well applying for benefits page.

You can also use computers in our libraries to fill in online forms. See contact us in person for information on opening times and locations.

If you can’t fill in the online form yourself (or with help from friends or family), you can phone our customer service team on 0300 123 5013. Allow plenty of time to fill in the form (about an hour). You must have the information needed to fill in the online form in one attempt as you cannot save the form and return to it later. This is listed on the page for supporting evidence.

If someone is helping you with your claim and you would like us to share information with them, see authority to discuss.

Where people are unable to manage their own financial affairs, an appointee can handle their benefits claims for them.
