Enforcement of Health and Safety at Work
Cheshire East Council is responsible for the enforcement of health and safety matters in a range of non-industrial premises for example:
- shops
- offices
- warehouses
- restaurants
- hotels
- hairdressers
- cinemas and other places of entertainment
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is responsible for other premises for example:
- factories
- building sites
- farms

The HSE also carries out research into health and safety issues, provides information and guidance and promotes training HSE website.
