The Shed Crew will provide a local hub (safe place) for individuals to access for learning new skills, upskilling the expertise of the volunteers, encouraging intergenerational sharing of skills, fundraising and friendship. The finished items will be sold to raise funds, which will reduce items being sent to landfill and to encourage sharing.

By assisting vulnerable local people such as those on a low income, older people, those with disabilities, long term health conditions and the digitally excluded, to complete benefits and other official forms, book medical appointments, and access support services using both online and paper forms and access points. Offering face to face, one to one appointments with a trained volunteer Form Filling Assistant.

This service will fill a critical gap in early intervention, providing a trusted adult to talk to, without the need for formal therapy.

From older people provision at Jubilee House (dementia support and lunch club) to the seated chair exercise classes (including Boccia) and wellbeing walks at the Georges to the mental health drop in provision at Eagle Bridge, this project will enable the delivery of 3 types of service in one.
