Council confirms service committee chairs for 2022/23

Cheshire East Council has confirmed its service committee chairs for the year 2022/23. 

Councillor Sam Corcoran will continue as leader of the council and chair of its corporate policy committee. Councillor Craig Browne has been re-elected deputy leader and chair of the highways and transport committee. 

Only two changes have been made concerning the service committees – outgoing mayor Councillor Sarah Pochin becomes vice-chair of environment and communities, with Councillor Mick Warren continuing as chair. Cllr Pochin was also elected vice-chair of the southern planning committee. 

Councillor Nick Mannion continues as chair of the economy and growth committee, Councillor Kathryn Flavell as chair of children and families, Councillor Jill Rhodes as chair of adults and health and Councillor Amanda Stott as chair of the finance sub-committee. 

All other committee chairs remain unchanged following the appointment of chairs and vice-chairs at the annual meeting of council.
