What personal information is being processed and what for

The Employment and Entertainment Lead will process the following data for students and adults who apply to service for child employment, entertainment licences, model licences, BOPA  and chaperone licences.  This enables us to safeguard children more effectively.

Personal data that will be processed: name; date of birth; home address; school attended; occupation; times and dates of work/performances employers details; relevant experience; medical info; DBS information and applications. 

Educational data will include: the students current school; year group; attendance details; school contact info 

Medical information processed will include: details of any current medical conditions and medication taken.

Why we are allowed to use your information

We have a legal basis to process this information under article 9.2(h) of the GDPR regulations. 

Who we will share your information with

We will share this information with the employers, agencies, parents/carers 

Where we get your information from

Information will be provided by the parents/guardians, employees, agencies, employer

How long we will keep your personal information

The information will be stored until the student turns 25 years of age.

In terms of adult information this will be stored whilst the individual is acting in the role (e.g. as chaperone)

How your information is stored

The information provided will be held electronically on the council server, protected by passwords and encryption and only accessible to authorised users.

What happens if you don’t provide us with your information

Without this information we will be unable to provide the named individual with the service.

Your rights

You have a number of rights regarding your personal data, including withdrawing your consent where we have asked for it. You can also ask for a copy of the information we hold about you and ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
