What information we may collect about you and how we will use it

If you want to become an Eat Well Move More Champion, we need to know a few things about you. Here's what we'll ask for:

• Your name
• Your age
• How to contact you

We need this information so we can:

• Tell you if you won the poster competition and send you a certificate
• Check if we need your parent's permission for you to join
• Send you updates about future health campaigns and your role as a Champion

Why we are allowed to collect and use your information

We need your consent to collect and use your personal information. Here's how it works:

• If you're 13 or older, we need your consent to use your data
• If you're younger than 13, we need your parent or guardian's consent

You can change your mind and take back your consent anytime you want.

Who we share your information with

We won’t give your information to anyone else, unless we have legal reason to do so.

Where we get your information from

We only collect the information that you or your parent give us.

How long will you keep this data for and why

We will keep your information for one year. We will then contact you to ask whether you want to receive information relating to Eat Well Move More Champions.

How do you keep my information safe?

Your information is kept safe in our secure IT systems. Only the council staff who run the Eat Well Move More Champion scheme will be able to see it.

What happens if you don’t provide us with your information

If you don't give us your information, you won't be able to enter the poster competition or become an Eat Well Move More Champion.

Your rights

You have some important rights about your information:

• You can change your mind and take back your consent at anytime
• You can ask us to delete your information
• You can ask for a copy of the information we have about you
• You can ask us to fix anything that's wrong
