Cheshire East Council Election May 2011- candidate and ward information
The election for all Councillors in Cheshire East Council Thursday 5 May 2011.
Votes were counted on Friday 6 May 2011 and the results posted as they were known.
This was the first election held using the new ward boundaries set out by the Local Government Boundary Commission in January 2011
There are 52 Wards, and 82 Councillors. Depending on the population, wards are represented by one, two or three councillors.
The election for councillors in Crewe South ward was postponed until the 16 of June following the death of a candidate. The referendum still took place.
Five wards were uncontested. The candidate in each of those wards is therefore elected uncontested. The wards and candidates are
