What is Care4CE?

Adult social care

Adult social care provides personalised, practical support for people over 18. It supports individuals to live their lives the way they desire, preserving dignity and enabling individuals to remain independent for as long as possible.

At Cheshire East our vision is that adults who need help will get the assistance they require to promote their wellbeing, health and care. Our purpose is to get the greatest possible increase in independence for those adults, families, carers and communities who need help. We will do this by:

  • Listening to people so that we understand their needs and the risks they face
  • Helping everybody to get the information and advice they need
  • Agreeing with people what outcomes they want to achieve
  • Helping people who need, or who are likely to need, public funding to find the services which will be right for them
  • Doing the things which we are required to do by law and regulations

At Cheshire East we believe that every individual working in social care can make a difference to those they encounter and that anybody looking at, or currently in, a career within care deserves the very best start and continuous ongoing support they can get, which is why we have launched our Adult social care academies.

Care4CE

Care4CE directly provides social care services for adults including people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, long term conditions, dementia and mental health needs.

The core purpose of Care4CE is to support people to maximise or regain independence.

Care4CE offers support in the following areas:

  • Reablement - a period of short-term, intensive support that is designed to help people manage independently following a period of illness or a fall
  • Supported living - designed to help people live more independently in their local community
  • Day opportunities - provides for people who need support during the day and offers a safe, stimulating environment
  • Cheshire East short breaks - short breaks for individuals who have a learning disability
  • Occupational opportunities - support for people to develop skills and coping techniques to develop confidence and motivation towards increased independence
  • Shared lives - support for vulnerable adults over the age of 18
