Work experience

One of Cheshire East Councils community outcomes is to ensure people have the life skills and education they need to thrive. In order to help achieve this, the Council delivers work experience placements of generally one or two weeks for the young people of Cheshire East on an annual basis.

Our work experience programme is a great introduction to the world of work and helps young people develop skills and knowledge.

The Council actively works with Schools in the provision of placements to students.

Placements

The Council provides a diverse range of services, including education, social services, housing and highways and many more.  This means we can offer a wide range of work placement opportunities and experience to help acquire a positive attitude and key skills that all employers are looking for.

We also provide work experience placements to Cheshire Fire & Rescue Prince’s Trust team programmes across Cheshire East.

To qualify for a work placement, you need to live inside the Cheshire East boundary or go to a Cheshire East School, College or University.
