Cheshire East Council’s vision for Preparing for adulthood
Preparing for Adulthood is a national Initiative to support young people into adulthood with paid employment, good health, independent living and friends, relationships and community inclusion.
Being supported towards greater independence and employability can be life-transforming for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This support needs to start early, and should centre around the child or young person’s own aspirations, interests and needs.
This video was produced by students at Adelaide School and Springfield School with support from Cheshire East SEND and Adult Social Care teams to show the Preparing for Adulthood journey right from the early years.
