Report a flood

If there is a risk to life and you require evacuation dial 999.

If your home or business is flooding, call 0300 123 5020 and ask to speak to the flood risk team. Outside of working hours (8.30am to 5pm), call 0300 123 5025 and we will pass a message to the most appropriate available person.

Flooding on roads or pavements

You can report a highway flood or drainage issue to us, unless the issue is on a motorway or major trunk road (which are maintained by National Highways).

We respond to highways flooding on a risk-based approach, responding  to issues on major roads before minor roads.

Flooding across larger areas and roads may be because the amount of rainfall is too much for systems to store and drain well. This is because they're full, not blocked. This will often clear in a few hours.

Flooding on motorways and major trunk roads (M6, M56, A556 north of M6)

National Highways maintain the motorway network and major trunk roads. In Cheshire East, this is the M6, M56 and A556 north of the M6.
