Astbury and Moreton Neighbourhood Plan

Information

The original Plan was produced by the steering group in cooperation with Newbold Astbury cum Moreton Parish Council. The neighbourhood area was designated on the 10 March 2014, but was also modified on the 28 October 2016.

Consultation on the original draft Plan took place between the 1 December 2015 and the 12 January 2016. The original submission Plan public consultation took place between the 17 February 2017 and the 3 April 2017. Independent examination on the original submitted Plan took place between the 2 May 2017 and the 9 June 2017.

Incorporating the examiner's recommendations from their report, the decision to proceed to referendum was decided on the 10 July 2017, and local referendum on the original Plan took place on the 17 August 2017, and returned a 'yes' vote in favour of the original Plan. The original Plan was made on the 17 August 2017.

Modification of the original Plan began in 2024.

Consultation on the modification draft Plan took place between the 22 January 2024 and the 3 March 2024. The modification submission Plan public consultation took place between the 20 August 2024 and the 2 October 2024. Independent examination on the modification submitted Plan took place between the 23 October 2024 and the 18 December 2024.

The examiner concluded that no referendum was required and that with minor alterations, the modification Plan is found to meet the requirements of the legislation. Incorporating the examiner's recommendations from their report, the decision to revoke the original Plan and make the modification Plan was made on the 17 January 2025.
