Bollington Neighbourhood Plan

Information

The original Plan was produced by the steering group in cooperation with Bollington Town Council. The neighbourhood area was designated on the 13 April 2015.

Consultation on the original draft Plan took place between the 27 June 2017 and the 25 August 2017. The original submission Plan public consultation took place between the 20 October 2017 and the 1 December 2017. Independent examination on the original submitted Plan took place between the 20 October 2017 and the 1 December 2017.

Incorporating the examiner's recommendations from their report, the decision to proceed to referendum was decided on the 22 March 2018, and local referendum on the original Plan took place on the 10 May 2018, and returned a 'yes' vote in favour of the original Plan. The original Plan was made on the 10 May 2018.

Modification of the original Plan began in 2024.

Consultation on the modification draft Plan took place between the 10 June 2024 and the 22 July 2024. The modification submission Plan public consultation took place between the 23 September 2024 and the 4 November 2024. Independent examination on the modification submitted Plan took place between the 21 November 2024 and the 30 January 2025.

The examiner concluded that no referendum was required and that with minor alterations, the modification Plan is found to meet the requirements of the legislation. Incorporating the examiner's recommendations from their report, the decision to revoke the original Plan and make the modification Plan was made on the 19 February 2025.
