Marton Neighbourhood Plan

Information

The original Plan was produced by the steering group in cooperation with Marton Parish Council. The neighbourhood area was designated on the 23 February 2015.

Consultation on the original draft Plan took place between the 18 December 2015 and the 1 February 2016. The original submission Plan public consultation took place between the 25 February 2016 and the 11 April 2016. Independent examination on the original submitted Plan took place between the 17 June 2016 and the 20 July 2016.

Incorporating the examiner's recommendations from their report, the decision to proceed to referendum was decided on the 16 August 2016, and local referendum on the original Plan took place on the 27 October 2016, and returned a 'yes' vote in favour of the original Plan. The original Plan was made on the 29 November 2016.

Modification of the original Plan began in 2020.

Consultation on the modification draft Plan took place between the 7 September 2020 and the 19 October 2020. The modification submission Plan public consultation took place between the 25 November 2020 and the 6 January 2021. Independent examination on the modification submitted Plan took place between the 4 February 2021 and the 11 March 2021.

The examiner concluded that no referendum was required and that with minor alterations, the modification Plan is found to meet the requirements of the legislation. Incorporating the examiner's recommendations from their report, the decision to revoke the original Plan and make the modification Plan was made on the 1 April 2021.
