Poynton Neighbourhood Plan 

Information

The Plan was produced by the steering group in cooperation with Poynton Town Council. The neighbourhood area was designated on the 21 October 2014.

Consultation on the draft Plan took place between the 6 February 2018 and the 20 March 2018. The submission Plan public consultation took place between the 23 January 2019 and the 8 March 2019. Independent examination on the submitted Plan took place between the 9 April 2019 and the 24 June 2019.

Incorporating the examiner's recommendations from their report, the decision to proceed to referendum was decided on the 29 July 2019. Local referendum on the Plan took place on the 10 October 2019, and returned a 'yes' vote in favour of the plan. The decision to make the Plan was decided on the 21 November 2019.
