Sandbach Neighbourhood Plan

Information

The original Plan was produced by the steering group in cooperation with Sandbach Town Council. The neighbourhood area was designated on the 21 October 2014.

Consultation on the original draft Plan took place between the 17 March 2015 and the 1 May 2015. The original submission Plan public consultation took place between the 18 September 2015 and the 2 November 2015. Independent examination on the original submitted Plan took place in the the January of 2016.

Incorporating the examiner's recommendations from their report, local referendum on the original Plan took place on the 24 March 2016, and returned a 'yes' vote in favour of the original Plan. The original Plan was made on the 12 April 2016.

Modification of the original Plan began in 2020.

Consultation on the modification draft Plan took place between the 21 June 2021 and the 1 August 2021. The modification submission Plan public consultation took place between the 4 October 2021 and the 15 November 2021. Independent examination on the modification submitted Plan took place between the 2 December 2021 and the 8 February 2022.

The examiner concluded that no referendum was required and that with minor alterations, the modification Plan is found to meet the requirements of the legislation. Incorporating the examiner's recommendations from their report, the decision to revoke the original Plan and make the modification Plan was made on the 21 March 2022.
