Crewe Shopmobility service

The Crewe Shopmobility service will be closed from 19 April and will reopen on 30 April.

• Located at: The Cabin, Asda Car Park, Crewe.
• Open: Mondays to Saturdays (except Tuesday) between 10am and 4pm.

There is no charge for the use of the scooters.

Crewe Shopmobility is operated by Ansa Transport on behalf of Cheshire East Borough Council.

Nantwich shopmobility service

Operated by Nantwich Town Council from Civic Hall and from the Market Hall, Nantwich.

Booking line: 01270 628633.

Open: Mondays to Fridays 9am to 4:30pm.

There is no charge for the use of the scooters.

Macclesfield shopmobility service

Operated by Disability Information Bureau, Shopmobility, Churchill Way, Macclesfield, SK11 6AY on behalf of Cheshire East Council.

Open: Mon to Fri 09:30 – 3.30pm

We loan motorised scooters or and manual wheelchairs to help you get around Macclesfield during our opening hours. We also have an electric wheelchair.

Advanced booking for all equipment is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.

We are located close to the central shopping area in Macclesfield. We have a limited number of parking spaces and are on the local FlexiLink bus route. We are also accessible via taxis.

Membership for scooter hire is £25 per year, and members then pay £1 for the first 2 hrs, then £1 per hour thereafter.

Non-member rate for scooter hire for the day is £10.

Wheelchair hire is:

• £2.50 per day
• £10 per week

and a £20 cash deposit is required. This is to reflect the amount of work involved in processing the registration for one time users. We recommend that if you are going to use the equipment more than once that you become a member.
