Waste reduction volunteers

As part of our waste minimisation campaign, we have set up an in-house Waste Reduction Programme. This involves volunteers going out into the community and schools and helping residents understand the importance of recycling, reducing food waste and also encouraging more composting.

Our current team of Cheshire East Waste Reduction Volunteers (CEWRVs) have a range of knowledge and skills that they are eager to share. We are looking for more volunteers to join this fabulous team.

Volunteer benefits

If you become a waste reduction volunteer you will:

• extend your knowledge through training sessions
• work in the community and meet new people
• attend road shows and community events
• make a difference to your local environment
