A community pharmacy or chemist is a place where you can get a prescription dispensed, buy medicines, or ask a pharmacist for advice. A pharmacist is the most qualified person in the pharmacy to dispense and sell medicines and give advice.

The Government requires all Health and Wellbeing Boards to produce an assessment of their local pharmaceutical services every three years. This document is called the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) and the next PNA must be published by 1 October 2025. The local Health and Wellbeing Board is a partnership of key leaders from the local health and care system who work together to improve the health and wellbeing of their local population.

We would be grateful if you could answer some questions about your own experience and views. It is helpful to us if you complete the survey even if you don’t use them. Your views will help us to look at the pharmacy needs of the local population and ensures that community pharmacy services are provided in the right place and meet the needs of the communities they serve both now and in the future.

The survey was produced in collaboration with other local authorities across Cheshire and Merseyside and is hosted by Liverpool City Council.

Only members of the public health team will be able to see the responses. The survey is anonymous and should take about 15-20 minutes to complete. Any information you provide is private and confidential and will not be shared. Only overall results of this consultation will form part of the PNA. Data is stored and analysed only for the purpose of producing the 2025 – 2028 Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment and for no other purpose and will be destroyed within 9 months of the final PNA being published.

We will always process and store your personal data securely and confidentially. Please see our Privacy Notice for more information.

If you have difficulties in accessing or completing this survey for any reason, staff are available at your local library that will be able to assist. Limited paper versions of the survey are also available there. If you cannot access a and you cannot complete the form online, please contact our Customer Service team on 0300 123 5024 for help completing this survey.

We are asking residents to share their views on the council setting a budget that safeguards essential services for those in our communities who need our help the most, while working towards maintaining its financial health.

In order to set a budget that provides long-term financial sustainability and delivers the best possible outcomes for the borough, we need to understand what people need, want and expect from their council. And we need them to understand what is achievable.

Since 2009, Cheshire East Council has had a Home Repairs and Adaptations Policy, with the most recent version of this policy published in 2022. This policy sets out several ways the council helps disabled and vulnerable residents to manage their own care and wellbeing at home, by funding repairs and adaptations to their homes so that people can continue living in accessible and safe environments.

The council is proposing to amend this policy so it can meet the severe financial pressures it faces, and to focus the use of council financial resources on statutory services, and on the most vulnerable residents. Proposals include several amendments to the policy, including one which proposes a reduction in discretionary spending (Disabled Facilities Grant).

This strategy supports the Council’s aims and objectives for housing in the Borough, to improve the choice, quality, and supply of housing for a diverse population, support people to buy or rent their own home, prevent homelessness, improve options for older people and protect the most vulnerable.
