Booths Bridge, Cheadle Lane, Plumley
Cheadle Lane over Peover Eye River, Plumley remains closed until further notice. The road closure is in place for safety reasons.
Due to the pressures on the budget, the council is now reviewing its capital investment for the new financial year. A replacement bridge in Plumley will be part of that review.
The bridge was demolished in early 2024 to prevent collapse into the main river. The area remains securely fenced off for safety reasons to prevent any access.
