Dawson South, Bosley - Culvert Replacement

As part of our continual general maintenance and improvement, essential works have been identified on Dawson South Culvert, Smithy Lane, Bosley, where we will be carrying out a full culvert replacement. The works are essential to restore and maintain the highway.

In order for the works to take place safely, a 24-hour road closure will be in place on Smithy Lane closed between Stye Farm and Buxton Road from 28 May 2024, for approximately 9 weeks. Temporary traffic signals will also be in place at all times for the duration of the works on A54 Buxton Road, across the junction of Smithy Lane.

We understand that there is no right time to undertake these works, and this has been planned to try to minimise disruption to residents, businesses, and members of the travelling public.
