A537 Macclesfield to County Boundary - Road Safety Improvements scheme

Department for Transport (DfT) Safer Roads Fund bid (September 2017)

Cheshire East Council has submitted an application to the DfT for Safer Roads funding for improvements to the A537 between Macclesfield and the county boundary with Derbyshire.  

The Scheme

The proposed programme of works will help to improve road safety for all motorised and non-motorised users on the route and focuses on the Buxton New Road section.
