Housing strategy
Our vision is that all our residents in Cheshire East are able to access affordable, appropriate and decent accommodation. Our Housing Strategy has two central themes: growth and quality of place; and health, wellbeing and quality of life.
We are responsible for providing a range of activities and services to meet housing need and provide support to Cheshire East residents. We work jointly with local organisations and residents, including:
- voluntary and community groups
- registered housing providers
- home makers and developers
- planning agents
- private landlords and their agents
- Government organisations and neighbouring councils
We are consulting on our draft Housing Strategy for 2025-2028. This strategy will support our aims and objectives for housing in the Borough, to improve the choice, quality, and supply of housing for a diverse population, support people to buy or rent their own home, prevent homelessness, improve options for older people and protect the most vulnerable. The consultation ends on 25 February 2025. Visit Consultations in Cheshire East to find out more and have your say.
