Volunteering in Cheshire East

Volunteers play an important role in the work that Cheshire East Council do, as well as the many charities in our neighbourhoods. Making a significant contribution to keeping our communities’ hearts beating, and supporting vulnerable people, without their hard work and dedication many community activities would cease to function.

This section is designed to provide you with information about the volunteering roles Cheshire East council offer and has links to other local organisations that would benefit from your time and support.

We hope that it will inspire you to join us!

Public Rights of Way Volunteering

Many users of the network of footpaths, bridleways and byways in Cheshire East play an invaluable role in helping to keep paths open and safe for everyone to enjoy. They do this by carrying out a range of activities, including inspecting paths, checking notices, waymarking paths and clearing paths of encroaching vegetation. If you’d be interested in helping out in one or more of these ways email prow@cheshireeast.gov.uk
