About Croxton Park

Croxton Park is situated on the site of the former Croxton Landfill site and is a fifteen minute walk from Middlewich Town centre.

There are three pedestrian access points: from Croxton Lane (via the road to the Middlewich Household Waste Recycling site), via a link path from Chester Road and off the towpath of the Trent and Mersey canal. Car parking is available in the layby on Croxton Lane (100m)

This three hectare site was landscaped in the 1990s and now consists of a central meadow surrounded by woodland. There is a surfaced path that follows the course of the river Wheelock and river Dane with a link through to the towpath of the Trent and Mersey canal by Croxton aqueduct. From here it is a pleasant walk through to Middlewich town centre with links to the Middlewich Canal and Salt Trail.

Visit the Middlewich Heritage Trust website for more information.

There are also surfaced paths through the meadow area and a small picnic area in the orchard with views to the canal and across surrounding farmland.
