Springfield School shortlisted for School of the Year Award!
8 November 2022
We’re excited to announce that Springfield School, in Crewe, has been selected as one of the three shortlisted nominees for the School of Year Award at the National Schools Awards 2022.
The National School Awards has eight categories and will be taking place on Thursday 1 December at the House of Lords. It will bring together over 250 education professionals to recognise, celebrate and reward senior leaders, schools and multi-academy trusts for their dedication and hard work.
Springfield School caters for a wide range of children with special educational needs aged 4-18. The school has grown dramatically over the years now accommodating 213 pupils with a new school due to open in Wilmslow in September 2023.
The teaching and learning like any school is at the heart of what they do, this has a strong emphasis not only on academic achievements but also life independence.
The school’s aim is to prepare young people for life after Springfield, focussing on independence, experiences within the local community and the world of work. They offer a supported internship programme which has been a huge success in supporting young people into paid employment.
Good luck to the team on 1 December.
