Farewell Mandy and hello Chris - an update from Cheshire East Parent Carer Forum

Following our Annual General Meeting in April, Cheshire East Parent Carer Forum ( CEPCF ) were sad to say goodbye to Mandy Dickson. Mandy has been one of our Chairs since 2017 so it feels like the end of an era!  

It’s not all gloomy news though; we are really pleased to share that Chris Jaydeokar has been appointed as our new Co Chair alongside Kate Walters, and it was a lovely excuse for some of our team of volunteers to meet up for tea and cake and wish Mandy all the best for her next adventure.

Although Mandy won’t be working as a parent representative anymore, she is going to continue some volunteering in some areas of SEND in Cheshire East as an independent expert by experience - sharing her ideas, time and energy.

CEPCF has a team of volunteers including parent representatives who gather the views and experiences of parent carers in Cheshire East to help inform and improve processes and services. Other volunteers contribute by checking over policies, organising events, updating our website and social media or supporting other parent carers.
