What to do after a flood

For advice on the initial steps to take if your property floods, refer to the Flood recovery booklet (PDF, 860KB). 

Avoid contact with floodwater which may be contaminated with sewage.

Recovering from a flood

If your property cannot be used due to flooding you may be eligible for a reduction in your Council Tax or business rates.
