Waste and recycling requirements guidance for developers

The guidance explains our waste and recycling collection service for flats, apartments, and other developments with communal waste facilities and includes information on the following:

• waste and recycling containers
• how the Council operates its waste collection system
• cost of delivery and administration of bins

We have prepared these guidelines for property developers to ensure that Cheshire East Council’s waste and recycling collection service can be properly implemented. The guidelines apply to any development, redevelopment, conversion or change of use into a residential use that would require planning permission.

For properties with individual 240 litre bins, the resident needs to register for Council Tax, then order and pay for their bins.
